Formosan Styrax, from Cedar Rose Nursery.
Small leaves, fine twigs, and tendency to flower profusely. It thrives in well-drained soil, can be grown in full sun to part shade, and is a vigorous plant that responds well to pruning for shaping.
Responds well to pruning, with winter being the ideal time to shape the tree as it blooms on old wood.
Produces masses of fragrant, white, bell-shaped flowers in spring.
Ramifies well: It forms dense, fine branching.
Vigorous growth: It is a tough and vigorous species, making it forgiving for training.
It does not tolerate heat or drought very well.
