⭐️ Sierra Juniper, Yamadori #2525

Collected by permit. Few roots, cut trunk with pry-bar. Wonderful, low arcing trunk, twisting live vein around natural deadwood. Will need extra attention and care to recover and grow roots. Will use a partial exposure to a heated pad below, larger contained humidity greenhouse and humidifier.

Feb 1, 2026

  • Reached 3 months and looking healthy.

  • Still using humidifier most nights and fully opening the tent during the day.

  • Occasional spray misting in the AM, occasional soil—but infrequently.

  • Fish emulsion foliar spraying today.

Dec 18, 2025

Two months in, verdant green at the moment.

Light dusting of mychorizzae

Sprayed foliage to stay hydrated, oddly 80’s high temperature—will bag and put in the shade until in a greenhouse

Inspiration

Recovery

  • Greenhouse managing humidity, elevated for sunlight, side of house for limited strong daylight.

  • Watering based on soil dryness and foliage visible/tactile health (2-3X each week)

  • Humidifier at night with a small fan and open paths for fresh air. 90-95% RH. Off during the day and more panels open to dry out, 70-75% RH.

Nov 15 — Month 1

  • Looks & feels healthy

  • Daylight is shorter and will allow full sun, mostly overcast.

  • 2 cups of diluted fish emulsion & mycorrhizae and light watering.

Dec 13 — Month 2

Jan 10 — Month 3
