Olive Cuttings

Aug 2026: loving a Shohin olive clump from Jerry Fields’ estate last year. Cuttings have proven to take easily so during pruning I start cuttings. Added some movement and may start new clumps in the following spring repotting.

They grow well as hardwood cuttings, and if let to grow long may fatten up over time.

Top 2 images after wiring lateral branches down and with movement. One side of the clump lacks lateral branches of length and will intentionally grow out.

Side note: this mature clump should develop thicker and longer outward branches—let to grow, or wire movement.
