Reflecting on Fertilizing

My first year I did not fertilize at all. My second year I tried tea bags or Bloodmeal, etc. but my dog found and ate most of them. Used fish emulsion periodically. The next year I overdid Osmacoat and burned and lost a few deciduous trees to salts. In my third year I did better at feeding organic fertilizer, but likely not enough—while I over-watered most trees.

Now in late November I seek guidance for next year—found Peter Tea’s recommendation:

• At this time of year, all of our trees should have fertilizer on them.  I normally fertilize till about December.
