Had topped off a redwood and tried to root it.

Plan

  • Develop initial roots, confirming that they are radial and complete—or open cambium and add hormone

  • Once the pot is filled with fine roots, repot to a small colander on a tile to develop taper and nebar

  • Grow apex, Jin top of the trunk to narrow the profile

  • Continue to prune foliage close to the trunk, lower branches longer and angled downward

  • Decide where first branch or foliage should start, prune trunk below that
