Had topped off a redwood and tried to root it.
Must have moved it to a colander in the summer.
Plan
Develop initial roots, confirming that they are radial and complete—or open cambium and add hormone
Once the pot is filled with fine roots, repot to a small colander on a tile to develop taper and nebar
Grow apex, Jin top of the trunk to narrow the profile
Continue to prune foliage close to the trunk, lower branches longer and angled downward
Decide where first branch or foliage should start, prune trunk below that
