From air-layered project in 2022, grown 2 years in a nursery pot in aggregate soil.

Experiment with cut paste. Used green, but Adam uses pink for maples & tridents
Internodes are long in the middle if a Shohin is desired. Can be okay if a taller tree (12-18”)
If I want it to be shorter, I should plan to cut back on the fall.
Inspected roots and repotted in a shallower pot, large pumice on the bottom and 50% akadama. Repotted Feb 2025. Will let it grow out to heal wounds, and hope that the smaller pot and akadama will result in smaller internodes and secondary branches.
