  • Carving deadwood, carve with the grain

  • If not familiar with how well the wood cuts (hard or soft), test out on an area less visible

  • PC Petrifier wood hardener, if desired.  Will be shiny for two years then it will fade.

  • Collecting redwoods, can cut the top off without much worry.

  • Clear the soil at the base, look for taper.

  • Dig up, cut tap root, can chain saw or cut the root flat.
