Young JBP Development

Had bought about 10 JBP saplings a year or two ago, intending to graft cork JBP one spring. My cork JBP was not verdant enough to push a number of candles to attempt graft from (possibly soon) for next spring.

Have grown healthy on the side yard bench. In mid-June I decandled, even if young, to encourage more ramification—and then wire in movement—and let the apex candle become the sacrificial branch.

Should these all be shaped for Shohin tight movement? 🤔
