Collected shohin trunk/base. Let it grow out, blow out. Cleaned away shoots in the soil or lower trunk.

Selected potential branches and removed redundant shoots.

Pinched back side fronds off the desired branches.

Gently wired larger branches, bottom branches angled downward and movement side to side. Upper branches progressively upward.

Did not wire all branches laterally, as some are too small and can do so later.
