Benches are Full
End of March and my benches are full. Had added two small benches, enough trees.
This is a growth year, expecting repotted plants to thrive. Organic fertilizer, and will not over-water some trees.
Pot recent Trident☑️, Zelkova, and JBP seedlings☑️. Put seedlings on an Anderson flat☑️—intended for Cork Bark grafting.
Plenty of stock for refinement
Repot and refine early boxwoods, finalize carving
Attempt Blue Atlas cedar grafting on Deodar branches or trunk.
Expect many Trident bases to thicken and allow a hard fall cutback or next spring chop.
Will decide what will be better Shohin and others larger trees.
Must have a plan for juniper work—adding Shari and movement.
Mid summer pruning and wiring for Santa Rosa Plum in development. Plan to repot next spring.
Rootwork, incrementally weakening 1/3 of the diameter of a problematic root (ginkgo, hornbeam, redwood, etc).
Cut back and plan out recently collected Redwoods that will not be tall trees.

Repot Redwood in Training Pot with 70% Akadama, pinching and carving for smaller Bonsai—oil preservative.

Start to trade or donate trees that are not needed.
