March - Late Bloomers

Starting to get temperatures as high as 80F, while other days are in the 50F. What’s up with that?

  • Most all of my Tridents and Maples are fully leafed out.

  • Red Alder and Ginkgos are only now budding out.

  • My Cork Oak acorns are tiny sprouts.

  • My cork Elms are slowly budding.

  • My Santa Rosa plums are all leafed out and branching.

  • Bald Cypress are small but waking up.

  • My ugly-root Korean Hornbeam is only now budding out.

  • New Arctic Dwarf Willow is just leafing out.

  • 2022 Quince is slowly budding out. The 2024 Quince has partially leafed out.
