Metal Colander?
Experimenting on lesser, redundant development trees for the function of a fast-draining colander and durability of metal over plastic material—would thermal conduction harm or retard growth and health?
Functionally the same as a plastic colander for high drainage and air-layering for faster nebari and trunk development. Once the primary metal colander is full of roots, it can be set inside another basket with aggregate soil below. This second colander should be a thermal barrier and if not iIn direct sunlight, should protect the primary colander.
We will see: cork bark elm seedling, larch, Japanese maple air-layer.
Adam Toth is sometimes using a wire mesh colander. And seated in another.
