Metal Colander?

Experimenting on lesser, redundant development trees for the function of a fast-draining colander and durability of metal over plastic material—would thermal conduction harm or retard growth and health?

Functionally the same as a plastic colander for high drainage and air-layering for faster nebari and trunk development. This second colander should be a thermal barrier and if not iIn direct sunlight, should protect the primary colander.
