Hip Op-eration Crew

The Hip Op-eration Crew's winning performance at the Auckland Regional Hip Hop Championships, February 2016. The dancers in this crew are aged 82 to 96 years old and the average age is 80. One member is blind, one member is deaf, three wearing hearing aids, one uses a mobility aid, one has had open heart surgery and all members have arthritis. The Hip Op-eration Crew are the oldest dance group in the world and are the current record holders in the Guinness World Records. All crew members are neighbours on Waiheke Island. The group was founded by Billie Jordan who is their choreographer, teacher, manager and friend.
