⭐️ Chinese Quince, 26XX Shohin

SBBK show sale. Noted repotted 2025.

Said to be crabapple or flowering quince.

June 2026, as acquired

  • Flowering Chinese quince (Pseudocydonia sinensis) or Japanese flowering quince (Chaenomeles) requires full sun, excellent airflow, and consistently moist soil.

  • To ensure abundant spring blooms and vibrant exfoliating bark, place it outdoors year-round, protect the roots from harsh winter frosts, and prune immediately after the flowering season concludes.

  • Post-Bloom Cutback: Trim back new lateral shoots by at least 4 inches to maintain a tight dome or conical shape and to improve branching.
