We are living in uncertain times. No one knows exactly how or when this coronavirus pandemic will end — or what it will mean for our lives and the lives of our loved ones in the future. This pandemic that we're all going through feels unprecedented — but the feeling of uncertainty is not. People live through all kinds of scary things all the time. As this began to unfold, I felt a longing to talk to some folks who've lived day to day with looming uncertainty, to hear how they got through it and to see what we might learn from them right now. So after many hours hearing from people who graciously shared their experiences, here are seven tips I've learned about uncertainty, from people who've been there.
