Donβt overwork foliage too early, let them grow out fully and then prune and wire.
Select primary branching and reduce other shoots and buds to focus energy on the primary branches.
He repots them into a smaller bonsai pot early (if the base size is met), to slow down growth. They grow fast so this helps even earlier in development of branches.
