  • Don’t overwork foliage too early, let them grow out fully and then prune and wire.

  • Select primary branching and reduce other shoots and buds to focus energy on the primary branches.

  • He repots them into a smaller bonsai pot early (if the base size is met), to slow down growth. They grow fast so this helps even earlier in development of branches.
