Considering collecting at the next level, permits and lacking trees out on one’s back.

A proper external pack or hunting frame is needed to distribute the weight of a tree (and soil) to one’s shoulders. The recommended or popular models run $150 and higher. I do not expect to do much of this, but safety and comfort are paramount.
